In the summer of 1976 L.T.D and put came out with this album after two earlier releases that were not that successful. Good thing the white shirts at A&M Records chose to keep them under contract so they could release this gem of an album. Produced by the Mizell brothers who also worked with the Jackson 5,Blackbyrds,ect; chose to play it a little more safe with a half of the album being somewhat inspirational. The funky side shows up on two tracks"Get Your It Together" and "The Word", but this album is most known for the great song "Love Ballad"(number i r&b and 20 pop) which is wonderfully sung by the Jeffrey Osborne. Billy Osborne also sings lead on a couple of tracks and I notice that his voice is very similiar to his younger brother. One of the most slept on tracks on this album has got to "Let The Music Keep Playing" with Jeffrey really feelin' it on this one with some of his most passionate vocal performaces, which is great because this is also when he played drums on most of the songs. I don't why this album is at a bargain price in stores, but I'm glad it is because its a great album. This is also the last time the Mizell brothers would work with L.T.D. which you could see later on wasn't really a bad thing. Overall great way to step their game up and put out a superb album.

"April Love" is why I bought this C.D. Andre Ray sang this song after Mr. Osborne left LTD, and he did the group proud, this song charted well. It has a little of that "Stevie Wonder" sound to it, however, Andre makes this song a classic. I cannot, and I mean cannot close my Valentine's Day without taking this song out and playing it. It is truly a lover's song. Listen to the lyrics..."good only for me, my April Love, special love in my life." Oh my goodness, just the thought of this song makes me smile. Andre hi five on this song forever!

Very nice griddle. low sides for easy flipping. Good surface. Very happy with this Pan. Rated only 4 stars becase the heat distributon isn't perfect. The center can be a bit hotter than the edges. Not terrible but noticable. Don't let that discourage you. Just setting expectations.
