In reading this book, one should read the table of contents and then immediately go to the section at the end of the book which contains the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution with all amendments. Read these two documents which are the foundation of America first. Read them carefully and then go back to the beginning of the book. Using these two important documents as your frame of reference when reading this book, some may for the first time in their lives get an awakening shock. Those who should be protecting our nation and generating its prosperity look at us the American public as a group to be manipulated to achieve their self serving interests. One will find that the vast majority of the activities of the House of Representatives and Senate have no constitutional basis; such as Healthcare Reform which is the current attempt by Congress and the Corporate world to feather their nests at the expense of the American people.

Dobbs' book has one shortcoming and that his perscription on how to fight back. This is section of the book is weak. Further some of his ideals on how to retake America from it usurpers are nearly as bad as what is being fed to us by those who look at the public as the ENEMY.

I do think that what Dobbs has written will cause you to re-examine what is happening in our nation. It will solidify some of the thoughts you have about where are country has been going these past 30 years. Like me you may not totally agree with what he says, but you will not be disappointed. After reading this book, you will have a better understanding as to why tens of thousands of your fellow citizens were in Washington, DC on 9/12.

I am a big Lou Dobbs fan. I have read all his books, and if you like reporters that speak up for the Middle Class, than Lou is your man. He tells it like he sees it, and he pulls no punches. He's a true patriot who attacks Democrats and Republicans alike. If he believes a public official is up to no good, than he will say so, and it doesn't matter who.
