![]() Perplexors Level B $12.95 My daughter is in 5th grade & thinks this book is great. It's designed to teach problem solving by presenting a scenario & the kids have to use clues to figure out the right answers. Good for in the car on trips or doctor waiting rooms. She approves this message. ![]() The Dell Book of Logic Problems, Number 6 $11.99 If you're looking for a book strictly dedicated to logic problems in which charts are used to work out solutions (i.e. 5 people with 5 jobs wearing 5 shirt colors - figure out who does what job wearing what shirt), this book is for you. I was ecstatic to finally find a book that exclusively had these types of puzzles as I've been oftentimes disappointed by puzzle/game books, which had maybe 3 or 4 of these types of puzzles amongst a myriad of highly lame other types. These 75 puzzles will keep you plenty busy and are a reliable go-to for entertainment and hearty brain exercise. ![]() 501 Challenging Logic & Reasoning Problems, 2nd Edition $14.95 In a nutshell, this book is a watered down version of GRE/GMAT/LSAT/SAT tests. The book is not a useful tool for helping one to prepare or get more experience on taking such tests; go elsewhere for that. The book is a good resource for junior-high/high-school students who want to start or improve their thinking skills. The few drawbacks are: (a) the book really should have 4x the number of problems (b) The more challenging sections should give a step by step example on how to solve the particular type of problem. ![]() Story Logic: Problems and Possibilities of Narrative (Frontiers of Narrative) $29.95 List of Figures List of Tables Acknowledgments Introduction - 1 I Narrative Microdesigns 1.
