![]() Lisa Lipps and Her Bombshell Friends $19.95 THE MOVIE WAS EVERYTHING I EXPECTED AND THE TITS WERE BETTER THAN EXPECTED. IF YOU LIKE LISA LIPPS YOU WILL LOVE THIS. ![]() Dangerous Passion $13.99 I enjoyed Dangerous Passion, but I like Lisa Marie Rice's style. She doesn't deviate from her winning formula. But be forewarned: it is formula. If you've read Rice before, you know this couple. Drake is dangerous, filthy rich, and alone. Grace is loving, cultured, and gentle. They need each other desperately. I like their story, but there are a few flaws. 1) This might be a biggie for some folks. This novel is an extended version of a short story Rice wrote for a Secrets anthology. I think the title of the short story is Secluded, but I'm uncertain. However, I am 100% sure that this plot follows the short story pretty faithfully, even to the getaway and exotic island epilogue. 2) Drake is soooo gentle and careful and mannerly with Grace. On the one hand, this is a mark of his love and respect for her. How can I hate on such dreamy perfection? On the other hand, given that Drake's a former "street rat" from Odessa, romantic perfection seems a little out of character. He's a bit too courtly, too polished. I would have liked to see a little more of the inner gangster that allowed him to amass such wealth and power. 3) Finally, Grace falls a little too quickly. A sensitive, intelligent woman would have a few more reservations about a crime lord like Drake, even if she chose to ignore them. But overall, this story is an enjoyable FANTASY, so I can ignore these flaws. I recommend this book if you're looking to escape. ![]() Now What $18.98 Again!, We have an artist with a great voice and flare to deliver something powerful!, Yet we get an eleven track disc with only a few good songs. Why does this always seem to happen? I can take songs from both "To Whom It May Concern" & "Now What" and create an album that's "Just Right". "Now What!" is missing a few things, Better rock-ballads, more edge and some bittersweet/dark acoustics with perhaps a deep/chilling orchestra that picks up in the end, What is she waiting for?. This album should be about fourteen tracks long and a tad bit harder. Lisa Marie Presley comes off as the grittier, take-no-mess, hard-head type. I know somewhere beneath her skin she's rougher & tougher than this. There's GOT TO BE some angst in there somewhere, LET IT OUT!. I want to hear more songs like "S.O.B" & "Turbulance". Above all "Now What!" is acceptable, I'm not completely satisfied with it, but it will do. "Turbulence" is my favorite song on the album, It's the only song IMO that comes full force. Other songs like "I'll Figure It Out" "Dirty Laundry" & "Idiot" are somewhat her P$$d-off songs (lyrically), The band couldv'e and shouldv'e gone harder on these tracks, it's just my opnion. I also like "Thanx" alot it's one of the good ones. I was dissapointed with "Shine featuring P!NK", What-a-boring song. Two fabulous artists come together on a track and have absolutley nothing to sing about, with music and lyrics that are just dull and plain. As a whole I was expecting Miss Presley to be alot grittier & dirtier than what "Now What" insist. The album is not bad at all but I still feel like something's not being delivered here. I wanted Lisa to be a little more forward on some tracks, hopefully we get more of that edge on the follow-up record. I have faith in Lisa that she'll bring it on round 3. I like her as a person- Not just as an artist, which is why we're gonna give it another shot. *Waits for patiently for next album* |
