I am sure the book is a good one for somebody out there somewhere, but for me, it was a bit of an overkill. It has gotten to be too nerdy as well as too complicated in the instructions. This is the kind of book that you would understand only if you were an expert in using Linux Ubuntu. So, if you're an expert, then why would you need this book. So excuse me while I go shoot my foot.

Linux For Dummies 8th Edition

Simply stunning, this book is not informative at all. If you know how to navigate on a PC, and can read things that appear on your computer screen, you can use Linux. Go out and get a book on the bash terminal and you'll be much happier.

There was actually a section in the book on using firefox on linux, give me a break.

Linux Pocket Guide
$9.95
This book lists commands and what they do. It does not explain Linux, or how to do things, just what various commands are. It's not a bad reference, although you can get more from Linux man.
