What I really disliked about it is all of the characters live missed up lives, I know it was hard living back then but still....I hated the fact that all of the females were prostitutes and one woman drove me crazy...god, she kept inviting men to her house and.....well no need to say any more on that subject. The story was also not very interesting. It seemed to have holes in many places and I was confused by some of the story telling. So to sum things up, Sam Raimi's "The Quick and the Dead" is a much better western then this disappointing film.  The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress (LP Version) $0.99 Even after some 30 years, you'll be hard pressed to find a female vocalist with the power, range, delicacy, and sheer quality of voice as Linda Ronstadt. From the depths of her range to the highest most difficult notes, her voice never loses its characteristic smoothness. That's what makes some of her power notes so especially impressive - that her voice never starts to break up or thin out, even at its extremes. This song, penned by Jimmy Webb in the 1960s, is a power country ballad at its finest, with tricky delicate chord changes that move in an unexpected pattern so as not to fall into worn-out country music patterns. It wasn't really a country song when he wrote it, but it suits Ronstadt's voice perfectly. Finally, the arrangement is superb - the intricate use of the piano riff to open and close the song is perfect. The strings are just right, pumping in extra emotion and drama without turning this masterpiece of a song into a sappy soap opera.
