the plot is silly the acting horrid and the cgi boring and recycled in the movie. at such a high amazon price tag i thought it would be a sleeper,,, oh boy it was it put me to sleep.

i was especially annoyed by the military uniforms that were randomly put together with absolutely no thought to realism, a leautenant wearing captains bars AND upside down corperals chevrons on his sleeve and that was a small example of the many problems. wasnt there anyone connected with this movie that was at least in the military? apparently not.

ignore the good reviews save your money and buy something else maybe 'swamp thing'

I saw this movie On Demand this past week and, while it isn't exactly the greatest film ever made, it's engaging enough because of the screen prescence of A. J. Cook (several years before the CBS crime drama
"Criminal Minds") and a twist or two on a familiar plot. It's got its funny & tender moments. However, the ending was a little drawn out.
SPOILER AHEAD!!! They could've ended the movie with Dwn holding Michael in her arms as they kissed at the dance AFTER showing what happened to the evil Mercedes (that's just me, though). LOVED the song "With You Tonight." Great beat. A made-for-TV movie for the whole family. Rated PG for some scary moments.

This is "Amazingly Attractive Andromeda" for sci-fi/fantasy/mystery followers such as I [my words in quotes]. I am now very happy that I took a big chance and got the whole show in all seasons when it was easy to do so. This show has everything I look for in sci-fi/fantasy/mystery -- including most surely great sci-fi/fantasy/mystery. "Andromeda" is glorious grand space opera with an overall ethical theme [in dedicated support of galactic law-and-order civilization revival during a future galactic dark age] -- supported by a strong starship commander via clever-but-ethical action with his loyal crew -- that he has to win over to such loyalty. They are mostly successful versus tricky dangerous situations with various interesting twists along the way.

The captain, ship and crew are very attractive heros -- yes, even the ship "Andromeda" is quite a Lady -- lovely, sweet, smart and oh-so-sharp. The episodes mostly flow along in an on-going adding-up long-saga -- unlike much of the previously produced work of Gene Roddenberry -- who had "Andromeda" plotted long ago waitng for creation. The hi-tech, effects and settings are done as well as all of this show -- as well as plenty of DVD set features and extras. I am refreshed by such a positive show with positive actors and actions. I avoid much recent media shows as being just too chaotic, graphic, bloody and grim -- even if I like the darker "Battlestar Galactica" and "Firefly" about as much as fair "Andromeda". So -- I am wonderfully surprised by "Andromeda" -- [for me] the best thing since "Lord of the Rings" +++
