![]() Last Chance Saloon $13.95 This book is a great read and is different from Marian Keyes other books about the 5 sisters in Dublin. It's about friends who help each other heal and find love in the most unusual way. Light and funny and wildly entertaining. If you like Marian Keyes, you will love this book. ![]() Last Chance (Album Version) $0.99 I love how you can find new talent on amazon and spread the word Go electrik red But Tiec Tocc's new song Frozen , and cant get enough people asking me where did i get it. love it . and his song computer love I feel lil wayne shouldnt have to sell your record the artist should sell their self ![]() Last Chance $295.99 I ordered this game because I heard it involves betting. Boy does it ever! This game is Yahtzee on steroids because of the betting factor. A card is shown with a five dice combo, the amount of rolls you have to get it (between two and five) and how much the payoff is if you accomplish it. Players bid on the right to earn the rolls in $100 increments. Players can pass at any time. High bid earns the right to roll. Others then bet on whether that player will get the dice combo in the number of rolls stated. Here's the catch. If you bet against the player and he accomplishes the combo, HE GETS THE AMOUNT YOU BET AGAINST HIM/HER, plus the amount he bet. Others who bet correctly win the amount stated on the card (between $1,500 and $4,000 usually), those betting incorrectly lose their bets. The game rules state eight rounds I believe, but in my game group, we usually let each player have a turn to start the bidding twice, so five players would mean ten rounds, with a different player starting the bids for each round. The player with the most chips after the last round wins. Don't be surprised if some players go "all in" for the last round. The game comes with about 40 to 50 different dice combo cards, five dice, a tray, and chips worth $100, $500, $1,000 and $10,000. It says up to six can play, but you can easily accomodate seven or eight. This is one of Milton Bradley's "unsung heroes" but I think they made a good spin on this variation of the Yahtzee game. This game came out in 1995. Between this, Sharp Shooters and Risk and Roll 2000, Hasbro has tried to keep the dice rolling in games other than Yahtzee. Out of print, but if you want an exciting dice game, get Last Chance. ![]() Last Chance to See $14.95 I bought this book when it first came out not because I had any special interest in endangered species but simply because I bought everything by Douglas Adams. Few authors could write a book on such a serious subject and make it very amusing at the same time. It a sort of diary of a global journey taken by Adams and Carwadine to various habitats for species nearing extinction and the people working to save them. Adams passion for the subject is clear. Despite his frustration and despair that not all of the projects visited will be successful his witty style shines through. The absurdities of travel in less developed countries, the oddities of people met enroute and especially the visit to the doctor for the anti-venom kit are classic. I've re-read this as often as the Hitchhiker series and highly recommend it. |
