![]() The Magic Show with Doug Henning $9.98 I saw the original national tour of this production, love listening to the soundtrack when it came out, and wished I'd read more reviews of this DVD adaptation before purchasing. All of the changes that were made to the show for this filmed version are regrettable. Stephen Schwartz, the composer must be regretting them now. How can you cut the best songs from the show? That's like "Annie" without "N.Y.C." The actors seem misdirected into making huge, over-the-top (ala bad children's theatre) acting choices, not that the book's material gives them much else to choose from! It's uninspired and highly disappointing. ![]() Lance Burton - Secrets of Magic $5.98 This DVD was a STEAL for under $10. It featured 3 of my favorite magic shows from TV when I was growing. Even though I already had them on VHS, it was worth it to buy the dvd. I was expecting that it would be semi bootleg for such a cheap price but the quality is perfect. Even if you have never seen these shows before, you will enjoy them and at the very least you will get a laugh out of them because they are from the 90's. ![]() The Art of Magic [VHS] $29.98 if you are one of those people who like the secrets of things revealed or the hostory of things then this is for you. it is a very good tape that teaches about the history of magic and magicians. i had no idea that magicians had been arounbd for so long i recommend it. the one bad thing is it does take away from the magic behind magic. once you know the secrets, the magic is gone. ![]() How To Juggle & Other Cheap Tricks With Marty Pollio $19.98 My school aged son wants to learn to juggle. We rented this DVD from Netflix. It's entertaining and fun, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. My son likes this DVD so much, we went ahead and bought it from Amazon. He watches it over and over again, and is learning to juggle very quickly! |
