This game was a Christmas present and has been a huge hit for our whole family. Our children are 7, 5, and 3, the older two can play the game independently, and the youngest can participate. The greatest thrill about the game is not just all three children can play, but that my husband and I actually enjoy playing. Beyond that figuring out the challenges of gathering the treasures really uses your brain from young to old. It's been a great addition to our family game night and would be highly recommended by all in our family.

This is a low cost version with one fixed labyrinth table, that is designed to make it impossible to get to the other end - for me at least. The control knobs feel a little stiff. You could make your own labyrinth table and put it on top of this, or glue-in some more walls to make it easier to get to the end.

I first saw labyrinth in 6th grade and it has been one of my favorite childhood movies and will continue to be. I picked up this series for it's gorgeous cover art and I agree with everyone else, we pretty much got duped with the inside artistry. Other than that I'm loving the story for the Sarah/Jareth moments and the tension he obviously feels concerning her. Toby's story for me feels pretty secondary. I would be cautious though in assuming it's going to end up being Sarah/Jareth...I can see the storyteller having him help her find herself and her dreams without the need for reabsorbing Mogget, and it ending up not being a love story at all so much as the rescue of the decaying labyrinth and Jareth regaining his power through making Sarah remember her dreams. Who knows, but I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a fast one. Things are not always what the seem. You can't take anything for granted. ^_~
