 The Secret Life of the American Teenager: Season 1 $29.99 I would have never guessed that I would have gotten hooked on this series. It takes you back to your high school drama years. A 15 year old gets pregnant the first time she has sex and the show does not hold back. It really shows what being a teenage mother is like. The fears, feeling trapped, staying home while your friends are going to the prom, ballgames, dating, etc. Her parents have made it loud and clear that they are not raising this baby for her. It is sad. Molly Ringwald plays her Mom but I think her acting is terrible. She was much better during her teenage years but the other actors make up for her poor acting. The sister who isn't pregnant is the best reason to watch this series. Her personality reminds me of the youngest sister on the Roseanne series if you ever watched it. So go ahead and get hooked with the rest of us. There are a lot of good special features on the DVDs.  Greek - Chapter One $29.99 I don't remember how I came across Greek but I started watching it online about a year ago. I started off with one episode and couldn't seem to stop. Soon enough I was finished the entire Chapter and craving more. The show follows Casey, Cappie, and Evan (who are all in their third year) and the trials and tribulations that they face in their respected sororities and fraternities. What gets interesting is when Rusty (Casey's awkward and nerdy brother) shows up. He adds a different perspective to the show. He's out of his element yet he pledges anyways in order to get the full "college experience". I like Rusty so much because his character allows for great diversity (among the already diverse cast) as he shakes things up. The characters are likable and they develop wonderfully as the show goes on. The plot always keeps you wanting more. I can't even describe how lovely the show is. I would also like to point out that this show is age friendly! I loved it so much that after I purchased it I got my mom, dad, and grandma into it (plus a few friends my own age). Definitely looking forward to the next season and I recommend this show to anyone and everyone!  Kyle XY: The Complete Third And Final Season $39.99 i for one will wait for this to come down it isn't worth paying 25 dollars and tax and shipping handling for 10 eps. on it and because it leaves you hanging with no finishing to the show. the family is taken,kyle is told that the guy he was working for is his brother and there is to much unfinished business on this show to pay 25 dollars for them to rip us off like that. so if you intend to buy it wait till someone sells theirs. |
