I was born in Kuala Lumpur and planning a trip there later this year. I bought this movie to help my boyfriend understand where I'm from since he will be going as well and I wanted him to get a taste of what he'll see when he goes to KL. This movie spends about 5 minutes total on Kuala Lumpur. He visits the obvious landmarks (the biggest buildings you can see) but doesn't tell you how to get around, hidden jems, where to shop, etc... He doesn't even explain the different parts of town like Chinatown or Indian town. He proceeds to go to the island of Borneo and play in the water. The title of this DVD is Kuala Lumpur, not Kuala Lumpur and all Borneo. Also, his interview with some guy at Putrajaya was awful. He pretty much repeated what was said on the back of the dvd case.

This is a Woodcraft Construction Kit of the infamous Kuala Lumpur Tower in Malaysia. When assembled, the puzzle measures 4 1/2" L x 4 1/2" W x 19 1/2" H. These Woodcraft Construction Kits are 3D wooden puzzle marvels for kids of all ages. Not only are they fun to put together, but they are also educational and bring out the creativity of those working on them. The units are made of 3mm plywood and the pieces are individually slotted to interlock with one another to form a 3D model. Everything is pre-cut and assembled by pushing the pieces together. There are few travel guide books about Kuala Lumpur so this is a reasonable option with coverage on the popular sites, hotels, dining, and general info and basic maps. I am disappointed that there isn't more detail - the book is kind of thin. They could easily leave out the hotel info and make this better as a pocket guide to carry around while exploring the city. Lonely Planet which coverages Peninsula Malaysia in their full guidebook is more useful and comprehensive overall (as would be expected). I was hoping the city map included street by street detail, at least in the central tourist areas, but sadly it does not. I guess they expect you to carry this and a separate map too which is not the reason I purchased it. I'll plan on looking for a compact street level map when I arrive.
