 Brainy Baby : ABC's : Introducing the Alphabet (Ages 2 to 5 Years) $19.95 15 month old baby watched these for a few minutes at a time, but he kept walking off. Too much animation. Didn't hold his attention well. He likes to see real babies and kids in his shows. We've had much better luck getting him interested in Baby Bumblebee videos (all of them favorites from 4 months to 12 months especially Crazy for Colors, Opposites, All About Me, Vocab 1-5, Action Words 1-3...favorites after turning 1 year were Question Words, Olivia & Otis, and Around the House 1-3), Baby Nick Jr. Curious Buddies dvds (especially At the Beach, Helping At Home, and Lets Move...Farm & Park ones for younger babies), Talking Hands dvd (a favorite since we got it when he was 13 months), and Signing Times (all of them hold his attention well).  Learning Company Kid Pix Deluxe 4 (Version 2) $19.99 I purchased this product without reading these reviews. I called the manufacturer and they insist that is doesn't work properly on an Intel Mac or any version of Mac OS above 10.5.5. Their website is horrible as is their phone support. I would never buy a product from Encore Software again. I have since bought the MacKiev version. I highly recommend it to anyone with a Mac. It is even Snow Leopard compatible!  LeapFrog Tag National Geographic Kids: Activity Cards - Birds and Sea Animals $9.99 I bought the activity cards for my grandsons (ages 5 & 3) They love the cards and love the tag reader. Both are reading above their age group.  Learning Resources Pretend & Play˘î Doctor Set $36.99 For quite some time I've been searching for a toy medical kit for my 6-yr old to play with. This one turned out to be nicely equipped and rather durable too. All components seem to be well made and allow enough room for kid's imagination. Good deal for the money. |
