![]() Synthetic hair Kate wig color M4/27 $10.99 I was so disappointed because the wig looked nothing like the picture!!!! What a waste of of money and time. ![]() Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht, Seasons One & Two $19.95 This show is so overated, the parents get everything for free and now they live like kings and the show is not entertaining at all, that all the kids do is cry, cry and more crying and a compulsive mother and a father that is numb. 2 thumbs down don't waste your money. ![]() Multiple Bles8ings: Surviving to Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets $19.99 I'm not a "Jon and Kate plus 8" viewer, so the things in the book were all new to me. The family in this book seems to be quite different from the national media spectacle they are now. I found the writing style to be overly precious. It was like she decided the book wasn't long enough and threw in more adjectives like a high schooler writing a paper. Kate makes herself very unlikeable and despite Jon being credited as an author, the story is told entirely from Kate's viewpoint, never his. The details are very interesting; how they chose the names, what life was like on bedrest and in the early days of trying to parent that many young children, but there definitely could have been more to this. I thought the details about rejecting the child they could have adopted were sad too. I would think that this opportunity falling into her lap this way when she had been wanting another baby, but struggling with infertility was a definite sign from her God! People wait years for the opportunity to adopt a newborn. I think books are the format they should have stuck to for sharing their story. I don't watch the show, but it seems like it's all but ruined their family life. This shares some of what life is like with 8 young children without being as invasive as a reality show. Overall, I am glad I checked this out from the library and didn't spend any money on it. It's interesting for one quick read, but doesn't have any re-read value. |
