To those that critize this movie as not being "accurate", so would you critize "The King and I" or "South Pacific" for being historically inaccurate?

Many stage musicals are successfully translated to screen. Very few movie musicals make the transition to stage. Witness--"Gigi" and "Meet Me In St. Louis." "Scrooge" is no exception to the general fact.
Pluses-- Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, the additional songs are good. Excellent choral work.
Negatives--Scrooge himself; Newley still sounds like Littlechap or Cocky, not like an old curmudgeon. Orchestrations that drown out the singers.
You want Scrooge? Stay with the soundtrack.
