![]() Dead Noon $14.98 I really enjoyed Dead Noon. It is sort-of a follow-up to the old movie High Noon, where the bad guy, when dying, says something like "I'll get even -- I'll be back". It is supposed to be scary (maybe) but is really a comedy. It has a lot of great lines and some fun action scenes. I like the idea that it is told as a story. The sheriff is really a cute guy with his dimple. Wonder how they filmed him jumping over the deep canyon and almost slipping -- it looked real. The extra things in the "making of" with the shower scenes are hilarious. I recommend watching this for pure entertainment. The first few minutes are pretty slow, but stick with it. It's worth watching. MB ![]() B.T.K. $19.98 Finally they made a REALLY SCARY B.T.K. movie! The others just pale in comparison! Kane Hodder proves he has much more range than he exhibited in "Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield" (which was decent but not as good as this one). He plays a VERY creepy role that will certainly be appreciated for years to come. The negative reviews are probably by those who were shocked to the core by how brutal and sick this movie is. This is not your average run-of-the-mill, direct-to-video knock-off! This movie has TEETH which sink into your soul! This thing should come with a big warning for those who think they are going to see a safe portrayal of the B.T.K. sicko! This one is the REAL DEAL! ![]() Whatever Happened in Winklesea? (Hodder story book) $21.66 Dan and Mary Kane's Gift from Winklesea was their closest friend. He changed their lives forever - but now he's gone. They miss him terribly, and on Dan's birthday all he wants is to return to Winklesea to find the Gift. But there are other people who want to find the Gift - and lock him up. |
