I have been viewing Gabriel Byrne's entire filmography as I recently became intrigued by his range. I had not heard of this title, but got it and was pleasantly surprised. Now I wonder why I hadn't heard of it.
Scott Wolf is amazing. Byrne is again able to slide into a role with seemingly no effort. He is convincing in anything he does. Tim Roth is pitiable but scary. What makes some of these films so great is their subtlety--their lack of fanfare, their absence of over-acting. The actors do such a good job you do not know they are acting. The lady who is a forensic pathologist on CSI Miami also does an admirable job as a lady cop.

Before buying this book, you should know that Mike's company that raises capital for real estate investing, Mike Watson Capital, LLC, is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. This information comes directly from a MWC email to investors dated 10-26-09. While it's true a man is innocent until proven guilty, I'll tell you this: MWC is in default on notes to me and my family that exceed $300K and he has refused to communicate with us. He says this is now his policy because his life has been threatened. We found this peculiar since we have never had an adverse interaction with Mike or his employees. We have since learned that many other investors have received the same treatment. One note-in-default holder who was able to ask him about his solvency was told, "That's none of your business." If this is who you are considering making your mentor, think twice. Looks like it's all unraveling for this guru. Stuff happens in a bad market, but this boy is now acting like a true shyster: when things don't go as planned and you get called on the carpet, run and hide.

I recognize several of the authors of favorable reviews in this forum as past or present employees of Mike Watson. In the interest of avoiding a conflict of interest, shouldn't that at least have been disclosed in their review? Sadly, my experience tells me not to believe a word Mike Watson or anyone employed by him says. No one can say he isn't passionate. I've personally witnessed his temper tantrums and berating of people in seminars when someone challenges a concept. Here was a man of tremendous talent and capacity who failed when the true test was applied. When you've lost your character, Mike, you've lost everything.

For the life of me I cannot imagine why this title is not available as a SOUNDTRACK or at least issued in DVD format. It IS a compilation of knock-me-down-and-lift-me-up performances by some of the greatest voices in our country.You do not have to be a Christian to be moved to tears by these performances...the sheer beauty of those VOICES! The could be singing "lalalalalala" and it would STILL be some of the very best singing I will ever hear in my life.**The performance of "Change is Gonna Come" by Luther Vandross in this Session is not only beautiful to see (Oh, is he looking BEAUTIFUL), but his voice has a resonance and soaring beauty that is UNMATCHED IN ANY OTHER SONG recording of his that I have in my considerable collection of Vandross. Never mind the knockout performances of Jennifer Holliday, Edwin Hawkins, Andre Crouch, THE CHOIR! I could go on forever about how much I love this music. If ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA how one goes about lobbying the owner of this Master tape/recording to release this as a soundtrack or at least DVD, let me know somehow!
