![]() Wide Open $18.98 This CD is a disappointment. While there are 1 or 2 songs we liked, mostly, all the songs are mediocre, at best. Not much of a country sound, many of the songs sound like they have been modified from other artist's songs. After listening to the first few songs, they all seem to sound alike, mostly a little too loud and pop/rock-like. There are only 11 songs on this CD. Also, CD is in a gapingly, open-topped thick paper envelope which falls out on the floor, at will, as there is nothing to keep it inside. So, it needs to be put in a jewel case or other device, to stay safe, which adds to the cost. We would not buy this CD again. Hope Jason Aldean's next album is better! ![]() Waitin' in the Country $9.99 Ok, not only is he absolutely gorgeous, but his songs are equally amazing, as well - and his voice is just guh. + "Waitin' In The Country" - Love this song. The second verse is love, but the whole song's snazzin'. + "I Can Sleep When I'm Dead" - "I've got a closet full of Red Bull and Visine to hide the red." You'll laugh, even if you don't want to. xD + "Alyssa Lies" - The first song I heard from him on the radio, 'n I still cry every time I hear it. + "Lookin' At You" - Sweet and funny, perfect combination. + "No Good In Goodbye" - One of my favorite tracks, 'cause he's singing with Jewel (love her) and the song is just gorgeous. ("And I know it can't be over, 'cause I still wake up reachin' for you in the night...") + "Livin' Our Love Song" - So sweet, and swoon-worthy (for a hopeless romantic, at least). + "Anyhwere USA" - I can't even say how much I love this song. xD It just makes you wanna dance 'n sing along, 'n it's just great. + "Honky Tonk Friends" - Silly and fun with a ring of truth to it; very nice. + "Love Won't Let Me" - Love this song way too much. It's gorgeous, it's shippy, and an overall guh. + "Angel Of Broken Hearts" - It's got this music to it that you wouldn't quite expect, but it adds to a nice, "Ok, I'm tired of being miserable over her - can I move on now, please?" sort of feel to the song. + "Let It Rain" - Beyond gorgeous. He sings it higher than the rest of the songs, and it just adds to the song's charm. Gorgeous post-break up song. ![]() Carolina $18.98 On this Halloween 2009 I had a little Joke, I LOVE YOUR GHOST the MOST. I have tried Mustard and Fries. I have another Joke, Drink a little Drink, Drink a little Diet Coke. Is Church from NC originally? A real Southern Romantic Church. I think Eric Church Mind is really a Folk Artist's! He really is changing the Face of Top 40 Country Music with the CD Carolina! I like his more Easy Going CD Songs. WITHOUT YOU HERE, YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY, CAROLINA, HELL ON THE HEART, THOSE THAT I LOVED, and I LOVE YOUR LOVE THE MOST! You could think like Springsteen and Mark Twain, but you might think like Eric Church. He seems to Turn his Country Boy Self toward a more Country Top 40! /Calling Me Home/. And, Country is the Home in Carolina, and a Soutern Woman will /Tear You Apart/. I think He's a Shakespere Writter, where the Country is the Female. I don't know, it's Fun to listen, because in the 1990's it was Sonic Youth and the Pixies for Me. Eric Church CD is One of those I loved along the way. MH, 39, SC. ![]() The Foundation $18.98 I've become addicted to this CD... A Different Kind of Fine, Free, and Highway 20 are my favorites. I had the honor of seeing them live and their sound was amazing--very full and rich. They never sound as good on TV with the exception of the CMAs--the mix must be off--so you will be even more pleased when you see them live. Don't miss them! |
