The actors with the exception of Jason Alexander and Ty Dailey have no charisma and re-writing just doesn't work. I'm guessing trying to make it more palatable to younger audiences. Vanessa Williams comes across fake and forced as do most of the performances in this which is a shame because we need more musicals but maybe using unknown actors for a change might be something for the producers to thing about.
