I have read about the Kennedys for many years, especially Jackie. The author's bio at the end of the book indicates that she was "for many years a neighbor in the same New York City apartment building." That sounded good. However, on page 3, she wrote, "In 1989, my husband, Bill, and I purchased an apartment at 1040 Fifth Avenue." Thus, her "many years" of being Jackie's neighbor were only four to five years considering that Jackie died in May, 1994. Somehow, these two statements were not credible, and I began reading the book wondering what else I would find. The book seems to be full of opinions. I could write a similar book of my opinions.

The author clearly has not done her research about the Kennedy's. On page 192, she writes, "Later, they would build Wexford, their own retreat in Virginia." From my readings, that house was being built when John was killed, and Jackie never lived there.

On page 199, the author wrote that "Jackie bought her own compound on Martha's Vineyard." She did not buy a compound. She bought land and then built a house.

There are little untruths throughout the book that bother me. I suspect the author wanted to cash in on Jackie.

I sincerely hope that all that was written in this book is true as it is truly a love story and furthers Jackie Kennedy's vision of Camelot. This is truly a love story of fairy tale proportion and hopefully the text is full of truth and not just scintillating trivia. If you wish to briefly take a lasting look back at Camelot, give this book a try. Seems to me that Camelot was after the assassination. Good read!!!!!!
