I worked as the music teacher at a preschool for over a year. We had this collection of instruments in our older infant room (approximately 8 months to 14 months). The children all love them and play with them a lot. I love that they produce good sound, but not anything that's so loud that you want them to stop. Best of all, they are very durable. In preschools, toys don't typically last very long. These instruments were about 2 years old and still in perfect condition. I recommend these instruments to anyone as a way to introduce young children to music-making.

I bought this instrument for a friend's son starting his first year of band. He was using a school rental at the time but quickly fell in love with his own flute. He reports that it plays and sounds better than the rental and his instructor likes it too. Great price, great sound, everybody's happy, money well spent.

The 2 items my 2 yo plays with is the harmonica which seems high quality and the wooden fish. I suppose we could have purchased these items separately which may cost less. Quality is fine. For the money, I suppose it's a decent value to expose the kid to various instruments.

Bought for four year old, used by older kids as well. This drum is very durable, it has taken quite a beating (no pun intended) and is in perfect shape still. It has an attractive look to it and a good sound as well. It's a quality instrument for children at a great price. Would definitely recommend if you are growing a collection of children's instruments for home or daycare, etc.
