![]() House Of Cards $0.99 * This is not critique of Radiohead but rather the Amazon MP3 that doesn't work or at least it doesn't on my Macbook. I bought two songs but could not dowlnoad them; luckily I was level-headed enough not to purchase more; not being able to use Amazon mp3's on your iPod, in itself a dreadfully defective device, sucks. Beware, unless you be engineering freak and know how to use this cumbersome user-unfriendly crap. ![]() In Rainbows $21.99 While constructing this review, I let my schizophrenia loose to connect a few dots between Thom Yorke & co. and David Byrne's Talking Heads. Awhile back, Thom Yorke spoke loosely about 'Kid A' (2000), and the inspiration he received from David Byrne's 'Remain In Light' (1980) sessions to create the album. 'Kid A' was Radiohead's 4th album, as was 'Remain In Light' by the Heads. Then, in 1986, the Talkers released their 7th album 'True Stories', and on the album, the sixth track was entitled 'Radio Head'. 'In Rainbows' is Radiohead's 7th album as well, and while track six is entitled 'Faust Arp', also to feature a band's name in the title [Faust - a German krautrock band], It would serve no good to derive any meaningful connection from it. Also, I have never heard The Talking Head's 'True Stories', but now I'm feeling a little inspired to check it out. The no. 7 in many religions is an extremely spiritual and Godly thing, and to me, God represents a duality, a completely balanced composition. That's what I make of 'In Rainbows'. To me, it's Radiohead at their most comfortable, balanced and evolved. It's their sonic experimentalism melding with their pop song-writing sensibility to-a-T. Pick up a copy, some way some how. I guarantee you that if you're mind is open you WILL dig it. ![]() In Rainbows $55.98 Japanese only speceial two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 2 DVD) edition of their 2007 album includes a bonus DVD that contains eight tracks: 'Bodysnatchers', 'Nude', 'Arpeggi/Weird Fishes', 'Go Slowly', '15 Step', 'House Of Cards' and 'Bangers And Mash'. ![]() In Rainbows $45.98 While constructing this review, I let my schizophrenia loose to connect a few dots between Thom Yorke & co. and David Byrne's Talking Heads.
