The installation of this unit was pretty straightforward. It comes with all the necessary parts to adapt to a number of GE models, and a manual that leads you through each installation, complete with pictures. Within 30 minutes of receiving the unit, it was installed. It seems to work fine, however, we have wound up with cubes all over the freezer. For whatever reason, some of them seem to bounce out of the bin or skip across the sensor arm. A bit frustrating, but we are glad to have ice again!

Pretty good for the size, and good battery lifetime.

I use it mainly for listening to audio books in a car with no sound system (more exactly, one so old it is beyond help). The Landsing hangs by its biner from the cup holder, and I plug in a Palm Treo, and audio books from Audible come up loud and clear even at freeway speeds. I've had it about a month and the first set of AA batteries are still chugging away. It clips the sound a little at the volume needed on the freeway, but still acceptable. If it were 25% bigger diameter to give that bit more power so it didn't clip, it would get five stars, but it's still pretty satisfactory, so four stars it is.
