![]() In Search of History - Holy Grail (A&E DVD Archives) $24.95 I was expecting more from this History Channel's Holy Grail but the information are not much different from what you hear from Da Vinci Code's echo documentaries. This is a very brief documentary and the quality is not that good. ![]() Holy Blood, Holy Grail Illustrated Edition: The Secret History of Jesus, the Shocking Legacy of the Grail $35.00 A very interesting and educational book - however, a bit difficult to read and follow. Consequently, I had to read this at a very slow pace in order to comprehend. This book did not change my belief that Jesus did not father children. Keep in mind that a large part of this book is based on educated guess or assumption. I think it is an excellent source for historical info. ![]() The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail $14.82 I remember reading this book in 1994. It was one of the best hoax books I'd encountered in a long time. These were the first modern guys to find secret stuff in paintings and so on. Dan Brown shamelessly made it into a novel. That he could get away with it is an even better magic trick than when Paul McCartney died in that car wreck. My favorite part of the book was the pictures. They lent such credibility to the authors' theory. It was just another of those books tucked into the library shelves that someone forgot about. That made it really strange and odd. Its a shame that the theory is so well-known that it's now passe'. Maybe they could come up with another one like this. How about one on the fact that Elvis and Michael Jackson were the same person? My goal is for this to be the least helpful of the reviews. ![]() Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Extraordinarily Deluxe Three-Disc Edition) $29.95 You know what, I'm 28 years old and I've never seen this movie until yesterday. LAUGHED harder than I've laughed at a comedy in a good while! I can see why this has always been hailed as a classic. Its like every scene is memorable and one of my favorites was with "Tim" and the rabbit. Also loved the king yelling "Ni!" at that old woman for a shrubbery (and I thought she played her part perfectly) and then a "shrubber" just happens to be riding by. So many running gags but not over done. This is a real gem and I'm glad I popped it in! |
