London. 2003.  State of Mind $29.98 "State Of Mind" is HOT and full of spice & sass, Holly serves it on round two. "Hypnotic" "Everything I Hate" "Somebody Out There" & "Roll Over" are the tracks that GLOW!. "Roll Over" is a pop-song Paula Abdul wouldv'e worked-out in the 80's & it's strong percussion is as clear as Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation". "Everything I Hate" is another bouncy 80's inspired dance-beat charged up with loud buzz-ing synthesizers to give it that extra boost, it really picks up in the chorus, dance-freaks will be fascinated. "Somebody Out There" is fun and pop-rock found toward the end of the album, It has a really nice melody and awsome beat. "Hypnotic" is the only Hip-Hop beat on the album, It sounds like any minute some big bad rapper is gonna jump in and spit a few bars but "fortunatley" that doesn't happen, Holly takes this beat on her own. "State Of Mind" is a big treat for electric-dance fanatics & happens to be one of my favorites on the album. I'm still enjoying every minute of this album to this day. Lots of Americans haven't heard of "Holly Valance" so if you've heard of and are interested in the following artist I encourage you to purchase the MP3's or pick up the pace by adding a Holly record to your dance collection. Dannii Minogue, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Annie (Norwegian), Paula Abdul, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, The Saturdays, Rachel Stevens. Have fun!  D.O.A. - Dead or Alive $12.95 I had low expectations for this movie, but after playing and loving Dead or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360, I had to see this movie. The acting isn't the best, and some of the wire work is really fake, but the hot chicks and "B" rated feel of the movie, mad me love it anyway! As for the DVD itself. . . The picture quality is fairly poor, but the sound will knock you on your butt for sure. The short "making of" featurette is worth watching, but there is no other speacial features on the disc. Overall I would say that anyone who likes the games, likes Hong Kong style movies, or just likes seeing hot chicks kicking a$$, should buy this movie. Especially for the price that amazon is asking! Just add it to another item to get over $[...] and you don't have to pay for shipping. |
