I don't buy perfume very often and when I went to Macy's in search of Catherine Herrera's 212 I was very sad to hear that it was no longer in production. The helpful lady recommended Herve Leger instead, and I immediately fell in love with it. The price, however, was way too much for my little budget, so I was thrilled to find it on amazon.

If you prefer to douse yourself in scent, this product is not for you. It's too overpowering for that. I really don't understand it when people just cover themselves in perfumes or colognes... But if you give one spritz to your wrist, you'll love how you smell. It is subtle but complicated. It makes people think, "who smells so good?!"

I disagree with the description that it is for evening wear only. This is something that I use as my primary scent in the fall and winter. I believe that in addition to heliotrope, there are notes of jasmine and sandalwood.

I recommend "layering" by using same fragrance in body lotion & bath powder! This will prevent having to use more of the purfume itself; this is a wonderful formulated purfume! Love it! This is one of my favorite fragrances. It's a soft vanilla scent, though it isn't sugary or foody at all. It's very 'airy'. It begins a bit fruity-berry-ish, and then mellows into the skin as a soft vanilla, slightly floral scent. My boyfriend likes this one a lot, and always tells me I smell so good when I'm wearing it. The bottle is also beautiful. I'll wear a few spritzes in the morning, and it lasts almost until the end of a work day.
