![]() Pandering $50.00 This book was shipped very fast and exactly the way they promised. It was still wrapped in the plastic, brand new and was shipped in a padded envolpe for protection! very happy with my purchase! ![]() Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam $24.98 Anyone from the mid '90's would remember when the story broke that Hollywood's "Black Book" could be exposed when young "Madame" Heidi Fleiss was arrested for pandering to the "Millionaire Row" of Hollywood's elite. Nick Broomfield's BBC documentary gives you insight into the three major players in this scandal;Heidi Fleiss, film director and boyfriend Ivan Nagy and former Hollywood Madame Head,Madame Alex.Everyone has their own versions of the events,NATURALLY.They all may be lying and they all may be telling some version of the "truth".You will gain some insight, but the documentary is extremely repetitive in it's information and interviews and ultimately quite dull. ![]() Call Me - The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss $9.98 Jamie-Lynn Sigler takes on the role of Heidi Fleiss, a young woman who in her mid twenties becomes one of the best known Hollywood Madams in the history. Most people know Heidi Fleiss not only from her days as a Madam, but also afterwards, her life seemed to attract men who were abusive to her. She is a woman whose mother leaves the family while she is still a teenager. Without any education, she uses sex and her youth to attract "sugar Daddy". Soon enough she is a high end prostitute herself with ambitions to become a Madam one day. But running a business, in this trade still requires politics. Appetites are insatiable, not only from the high end clients, but also from the government and newspaper tabloids that seek information insatiably. Is Heidi ready to handle them all, make money and save her business? Strained performance by Sigler. Great wardrobe. ![]() Secrets of a Hollywood Super Madam $17.95 I was really disappointed with this book. When the author was interviewed on TV, she was literate, educated and interesting. Especially compelling was her description of her time in prison. If she wrote a second book about that experience, it would probably be well worth reading. Unfortunately, Gibson only devotes a few pages at the end of this book explaining that part of her life. The rest of the book just isn't all that interesting or well-written, and descriptions of intimate acts are thrown in randomly, in a way that doesn't move the story forward. It also detracts from the legitimate arguments that Gibson offers up at the end of her book and in media interviews about the insanity of long prison sentences for victimless crimes. This woman is an extremely intelligent and engaging personality, and this book absolutely doesn't reflect the same person who was able to express herself so well on TV and in media interviews. Based on her media appearances, I would have also described Gibson as a forward-thinking entrepreneur who could succeed at just about anything she chose to do with her life. Don't judge her based on this inferior, badly-written and sloppily edited book. |
