It wasn't what I was looking for........... I thought I was ordering the book Heaven, and it turned out to be the study guide, but had I gotten the book first I would have wound up getting the study guide anyway. The order came in the mail quickly- in less than a week- so it all worked out well.

My youngest son Christian passed away almost 8 months ago in a drowning accident. He was 2 months shy of his 4th birthday. There are many children's books on the market dealing with death-- none of which I would consider reading with my boys (7.5 and 9.5yo). They would either be scary, too mystic, or say inaccurate things like "when we die we turn into stars in the sky."

This book, however, is different. We read one chapter a night together before bed. I am thankful not only for the use of Scripture in this book, but the illustrations and the gentle but straightforward story of a boy and his grandpa talking about the death of the boy's grandmother.

After each chapter, my boys would ask me to read more. :) I stuck with only one chapter a night so we could just talk about our memories of their little brother-- the fun times, the silliness, his antics and just HOW MUCH WE MISS HIM. I am so thankful that God gives us the grace to still laugh-- even when we're crying, even when we hurt so deeply! We would end the night by praying together and thanking God for giving us time with Christian and how, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we will spend eternity all together.. forever.. never to be separated again.

If you know anyone that is grieving the death of a friend or family member, this book is excellent not only for children but for adults as well. I highly recommend this book and reading it together as a family!

Thank you, Mr. Alcorn, for writing this book. A missionary friend also sent me your book "Safely Home" that ministered greatly to me. I have been a Christian for over 20 years (praise the Lord!) and I always knew what the Bible says about Heaven.. but your books have made it that much more REAL to me and has encouraged me to look further in the Bible and look FORWARD in my life (no matter how much my flesh just wants to stand still and feel sorry for myself).

I am an non-catholic, reformed christian, believe in most mainstream Christian fundamental doctrine.

1). Refer page 446
"When we get excited reading Tolkien's The Lord of the Ring trilogy or Lewis's Chronicle of Narnia.."

First thing I don't understand why author used so many quotes from C.S. Lewis who was the author of "Narnia". As you know "Narnia" is all about white magic, or occult which is clearly condemned by God.

I did a quick google search about C.S.Lewis, he turned out to be a catholic just like his close friend JRR Tolkien. Refer: [...]...so that's why.

2). Refer page 448 "whether God might inhabit them with new creature is not provable but certainly possible

So Author believes in alien and is a sci-fiction fan.

From my understanding, Alien is a propaganda used by Satan and his fallen angels to deceive the world. When christian is raptured in the second coming of Jesus. The world can't say this is christian being raptured, instead they say they are being abducted by alien.

If the world says Jesus has taken his believers, then Jesus must be the truth then, Jesus is God. People will believe in Jesus thus saved. This is not Satan wants. Satan doesn't want you to believe in God, but fabricated a lie like "alien kidnapping".

During the end time of 7 years tribulation, when Jesus come to re-take the ownership of this world, Satan will give this very convincing lie to deceive the world not to recognize Jesus as God and but Jesus as a mere alien space invader (like those story plot you've seen in Star Trek). Thus they fight God in Armageddon. If they would have recognized Jesus as God, they would have let God comes to claim this world. Nobody would crazy enough to fight God.

So the whole time, Satan is planting these ideas
- there is not God, but alien (but we know we have God, Angel, Fallen Angel, and us Human, not mentioned of alien in bible)
- Alien abduction
- alien fabricated a prophecy about his returning thousand years earlier, but return to claim earth.

via his favourite channel Hollywood to churn out tv series like "Star Trek"...So my question is why a reformed Christian Author wants to indulge in sci-fiction which is clearly motivated by Satan with a hidden agenda?

I also did a search on Gene Roddenberry, it appears that he is freemason related.
