![]() Sunglasses At Night $0.99 The 80's suck, but this is cool. Are all the rockers from the 80's gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that; I'm just asking. ![]() Kevin Hart: I'm a Grown Little Man $14.98 I could not enjoy this DVD because the security strip was placed on the data side of the DVD. I tried to slowly remove the security strip but there was absolutely too much adhesive apply to the DVD. I would have returned it but I neglected to save the return information. Could not enjoy this DVD. Will have to buy this somewhere else. ![]() Merry, Merry Ghost (Bailey Ruth Mysteries, No. 2) $15.99 This book is a charming story. It follows the story of a excitable, charming, witty woman as she untangles the secrets of a family and works to solves the riddles thereof. The only offbeat issues? The heroin is a ghost- or perhaps a spirit. The book deals with the existence of a Christian style afterlife, ghost, intercession of the immortal in everyday life in light fashion. It assumes the reader will buy into its premise and does no preaching. There are a couple of murders that occur during the book, but because of the unique premise- the dead are clearly demonstrated not to be dead- it approaches being a cozy mystery- with no dreadful or super suspenseful movements. Oh yeah, the story takes place around Christmas- and is an important part of the story. On the negative side, the book is slow in places. Also, the author's fascination with fashion goes overboard a bit at times- argyle socks under tall leather boots (I mean you can't actually see the socks-can you?). On the whole, I read this book with my wife (yes, we really do that sometimes) and found it to be wholly enjoyable and worth the time and effort. I have not read the first in this series, but I plan on ordering it and reading it shortly. Highly recommended for what it is... a charming book. ![]() The Last Child $24.95 Wow. I LOVED this. An edge-of-your-seat, absolutely riveting mystery. He is the rare writer whose talent actually progresses with each novel. This intricate mystery is his best work so far - with a heart-wrenching and yet beautiful story. It was truly wonderful. I can't wait to read what he publishes next! |
