It is so very much more attractive in real life than the picture would indicate, and the design is great for an everyday watch. He by no means has delicate wrists, but I like the fact that at 38mm, this watch is not one of the oversized monsters you see nowadays. It looks balanced on him, not small, not large. The face is clean and uncluttered, symmetrically balanced, and quite readable, and the lume on the hands and numbers is quite powerful in the dark. The stem is also protected on the sides, which is good, because he can be kind of rough on watches. I thought the band might be too casual but after seeing it on, it seems just about right, and he is quite pleased with the quality of the leather. I personally think you could wear it with pretty much anything except perhaps the most formal of clothes. And of course being an automatic with an exhibition case, you get to have the fun of seeing the movement. I feel that Hamilton watches are a great value - good movements, classic styling, and well-priced. I'd recommend this watch. ![]() Swallowing Darkness: A Novel (Meredith Gentry Novels) $7.99 MAGIC . . . nothing but pure magic. That is the only word to use for Laurell K. Hamilton's Swallowing Darkness. I have read every book in the Merry Gentry series and always look forward to the next one. The one thing this book has plenty of is magic, lots and lots of magic. One thing it has less of is SEX, maybe because she is pregnant with twins (each with three fathers, wow) and maybe because she is so busy trying to stay alive. There is more action than usual but to me the greatest was the exceptional magic. I love magic, can't get enough. There seemed to be more storyline than usual, usually it's just non-stop sex which kinda gets aggravating at times. I like the series because of the magic, oh, did I mention that before???? I would recommend this to anyone who likes LKH. Keep up the good work. |
