I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't know anything about it when I bought it and was not expecting very much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent Sci-Fi movie and I would highly recommend this movie to any Sci-Fi fans out there. Great movie.

I found this video uplifting and patriotic. Gary Sinise is not only an accomplished actor, he is a true American! What amazing dedication and appreciation for the men and women who protect our lives and lifestyles every day. Instead of critizing and using stardom to voice personal opinions and agendas, Gary and his friends devote their time and money showing appreciation for our troops. I'm glad I caught this video segment on FOXS News. I enjoyed it so much I purchased two DVDs to give as gifts. It's frustrating that other "mainstream" news networks haven't publicized Gary's efforts. It's also extremely frustrating and unfortunate that other Hollywood actors don't follow Gary's lead. What happened to being proud of being an American and showing support for those who protect her? Thank you Gary for all you've done and continue to do. I'm glad I could help contribute to your cause by buying the DVDs. I look forward to growing old watching you fill Bob Hope's shoes. Thank you!
George Wallace (Two-Disc Special Edition)

George Wallace was a conflicted man, allowing himself to turn racist for the sake of power. Like many older Southern whites, he began by taking Black people for granted but morphed into a volatile segregationist who finally sees the error of his ways and seeks forgiveness in a Black church in his wheelchair, a very moving and tense scene. Sinese is outstanding. He's usually calm and cool and smooth in most of this other roles, but as George Wallace, he reveals a range not seen before.

Technically, this is a superb film; black and white footage mixed and blended with color, fading from authentic news footage to Sinese's outstanding performance. They've got the accents down pretty well but Angelina Jolie seems miscast somehow. Despite that, the film chronicles pretty well the history of that era and of George Wallace's career.

I found myself glued to the film. The addition of a fictional character, Archie, as Wallace's valet was a stroke of genius for one reason; Clarence Williams III's excellent performance illustrated the suppressed rage of Black people against white people. This is a good way for a quick course on segregation and de-segregation and to underestand the tenor of the times. Terrific.

What I take from this movie is the message that it IS possible for the dazzle of success and fame to cloud your judgment. The lasting message is not about golf. It is about seeking what you want to achieve for yourself, and not for the enhancement of other people's egos. I don't want to spoil the plot line for those who have not seen it yet. But if you have seen this film, hopefully you know what I mean.
The story is done with a light hand, not relying on overly dramatic posturing for the camera. Mason Gamble does an excellent job of showing the pure joy of a personal success (perfecting the golf swing), to the disappointment he feels from his father, to the sadness of what happens to his fellow caddy buddy, to the blushes of first lust. Gary Sinise is as understated as usual, a lot of what he has to say at the end of the movie coming from his body language and facial expressions rather than from dialogue.
I found it to be a feel good movie, and I recommend it for a rainy or snowy afternoon.
