Fox has worked on, especially considering he's working so hard to overcome a difficult disease. However, this book didn't do anything for me. If I wasn't a huge fan of Fox's work in Hollywood, I never would have made it past page 20. The crux of this book is that while MJF is no longer as active as an actor, he now has a full life pursuing a cure for Parkinson's. I get it, and I admire it, but we don't need MJF telling us this over a 288 page book. The meat of this book could have been told in a 10 minute interview on 60 Minutes, or in a feature length article in Rolling Stone. I will always have fond memories of Back to the Future, Family Ties, and Spin City, and will always admire Fox for the way he has championed the fight against Parkinson's. But that doesn't mean I have to like this book. I didn't. |
