I found this odd assortment of essays rather unsatisfying and couldn't settle down to read it properly. Which was odd, because when I picked up 'The Face on Your Plate' (Jeffrey Moussiaeff Masson) to flick through it, I couldn't put it down. Likewise 'In Defence of Food' (Michael Pollan) another un-putdownable read. Perhaps it would be more relevant to American readers.The Face on Your Plate: The Truth About Food
