 Inside Section One: Creating and Producing TV's La Femme Nikita $199.99 This book has EVERYTHING! Anything you want to know about the La Femme Nikita series and then some! This is a very big book, and the print is small, so it would be impossible to read it in one sitting, let alone ten. In fact, I have not been able to read it all, yet, but the information is stellar for Nikita collectors like me. A bit of trivia about this book: La Femme Nikita was such a successful and innovative series, where everything was done "right", that this book was created as a textbook for film students who want to learn the ins and outs of producing and directing. As such, you get a very dissected account of the series and what went on in the background to create each show, each season, each character, and the music. If you own the series on DVD, the section that includes episode synopses would make a great supplement as you watch, and re-watch, each show. On a personal note, I am still sad that this series got cancelled. What a shame a deal couldn't be worked out to keep it on. I would love to see the characters come back for a reunion-type show, or even a new series, with one caveat - it would have to be done RIGHT or would destroy the everlasting saga of the original. In my opinion, there's never been a more perfect show! This was my all-time favorite show EVER!!! Long live Michael and Nikita and Section One!  La Femme Nikita - The Complete First Five Seasons $409.98 I just finished watching all five seasons and, in one word -- WOW! This heroine-fronted counter-terrorism series burned like wildfire from beginning to end. And not just with action, but with much emotion (a lot of it powerfully understated) and all the other qualities that make a top-notch series or feature film. I can honestly say that there was only one episode that I didn't care for (the one where Michael lost his memory). Nonetheless this series is chock full of interesting, exciting -- unpredictable -- plot twists, along with character arcs, relationships, incidents portraying human foibles, human low moments and moments of glory, great dialogue, plus plenty of well-shot action scenes. An excellent mix of writing, directing, and acting. This is one of those rare TV series where everything just comes together and falls into place, so very naturally. Peta Wilson, certainly one of the most beautiful women of all time, plays her role so well that she never seems to be "acting." Roy Dupuis, as the handsome, enigmatic, and extremely capable operative, Michael, likewise plays a seamless role. Finally, all the other major and minor actors play their roles convincingly well (especially Alberta Watson, as Madeline, and Eugene Glazer, as Operations). For me this was $130 well-spent and I'm sure that I'll watch this series any number of times in the future. I notice that the series is now taking 1-3 weeks to ship, probably indicating that at some point it will either become unavailable or the price will increase. If you like this kind of TV series, probably best to buy it now. I don't think you'll regret it.  La Femme Nikita (Special Edition) $14.94 This is the original.
