I have been playing this game since 2000 and still come back to it here and there. I agree it can get a bit boring at the beginning but once you start you can't stop. The interface was hard to understand at first but with more practice it get's easier to work through.

It took us some time to find this toy as lego is no longer building and selling it. It has been a terrific investment. Our nine year old put it together himself, following the instructions over about 8 hours in all.(not continuous) he loves this set and has been playing with it constantly for the past two weeks since he got it. he says it is more sturdy than most sets and he uses it in role play wars with his younger brother. I recommend it strongly.
