![]() Ernesto $78.98 Set in the Italian port of Trieste in 1911, ERNESTO is the coming-of-age chronicle of 17-year-old Ernesto, a handsome office clerk who dreams of becoming a violinist. An unexpected tryst with a sensitive dock worker opens the youth to feelings he has previously been afraid to confront. Several months later, Ernesto's chance encounter with Ilio, a striking 15 year-old violin student, blossoms into a love affair. Their delicate relationship is further complicated, however, by the amorous advances of Ilio's twin sister. Directed by Salvatore Semperi (MALIZIA), this multi-million dollar Spanish-Italian production is considered by international critics among the most significant gay-themed motion pictures ever made. Michele Placido's compassionated, understated performance as the tormented dock worker won him the Best Actor Award at the 1979 Berlin Film Festival. Unrated. Contains brief nudity, strong language & adult sexual situations. Viewer discretion is advised. In Color. In Italian with English subtitles. Running time: 98 minutes. ![]() A New Blues $17.98 Truly groundbreaking music is rare. It is often the result of the melding of the best of different styles. This is one of those albums. It's a bit ahead of its time which may keep some of the masses from truly appreciating it. My favorite track on this album is "Socialist". The lyrics seem to be tongue-in-cheek but also make a strong statement. The music is equally compelling & irrestibly danceable. "How Long I've Loved You" and "Blame It On Your Melody" are also great tracks. The other tracks are good, though a few get gratuitously electronic in parts. Overall I'm very impressed with Ernesto's work! ![]() Ernesto loved this movie! a bit slow.... not much sex(for you people who just watch movies for nudity lol) glad i have it in my dvd collection. ![]() GUESS Ernesto, BROWN (11 1/2) $220.00 A refined boot looks like a perfect fit for the season.
