![]() Techcraft BAY4828 48-Inch A/V Entertainment Center (Walnut) $399.99 A week after ordering the item, I was tracking with UPS and it said that it the truck was out for delivery. I saw the truck pass my house and didn't stop. I checked again later and it said that the package was not loaded and will be delivered the next day. Two hours later, UPS said the the package was refused by the receiver and was being shipped back. I called UPS and they said that it was damaged during shipment. I call Amazon and they said they would send another OVERNIGHT for no charge!! When it arrived, the largest, heaviest piece, the top shelf, had the corner bent and scrapped. I called Amazon again. They said to contact the manufacturer. On the Techcraft web site, I just had to fill out a damage report and less than a week later, the replacement came very well packed this time at no cost! The instructions were only slightly confusing as far as not showing well the pegs vs bolts in one case. After putting it together myself in 2.5hrs, we are very happy with the look and quality. The only tricky part was attaching the door hinges which required propping then up while trying to align the screw holes. I was very impressed with Amazon's and Techcraft's response to the problems. ![]() That's Entertainment - The Complete Collection [Blu-ray] $79.98 The DVD and the Blu-Ray discs are both missing about an hour and a half of some of the BEST extra footage available on the original Laserdisc box set, and an hour of extra music and radio performances also available on the Laserdisc box set (and not even made available on the CD!). And what a shame they didn't include "That's Dancing." The DVD image of this set is far superior to the Blu-Ray. WB should go back to the drawing board on the image and sound, and do right by the extras--which are ready to go. ![]() Entertainment Weekly (1 year) $192.50 I just renewed my Entertainment Weekly when I saw this special deal. $35 for 2 years but you get a $5 instant credit! I've been reading EW for over 10 years now it seems. Besides this and Sport Illustrated, they are my two favorite magazines. I would say this is better though. Buying magazines through Amazon has worked out great for me. It's always flawless and I never have a problem. I've bought and re-subscribed to many magazines here. Don't do it through the publisher! Most of the time Amazon will have cheaper prices. ![]() Crosley CR73-3 Celebrity 3-Disc Entertainment Center Audio System, Cherry $199.95 I have an extensive vinyl collection and was very excited to receive this product. Unfortunately the cd player does not work and I will have to return it. The motor makes a whirring noise, and it does not read or play the cds. I read some other reviews where it actually ate some users' cds, It just seems very cheaply made, which is a shame considering it could be a really great piece. I contemplated keeping it just to use the record player, but even that feels a little weird to use. It's disappointing because the item itself is actually quite beautiful. |
