![]() Ted Kennedy: A Remarkable Life in the Senate (Gateway Biographies) $26.60 In the early days of his career, Senator Ted Kennedy was mainly known as the younger brother of President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy. But his service in the United States Senate - which has spanned more than 45 years - has earned him his own reputation as a hard-fighting and effective legislator. He has strived to fairly represent all Americans in his pursuit of social justice. ![]() America Back on Track $15.00 Great book! Great read. It's unfortunate that I purchased the book prior to the pasting of greatest senator of our time. ![]() The Kennedy Legacy: Jack, Bobby and Ted and a Family Dream Fulfilled $26.95 The book has lots of information drawn from other sources; all of the quoted information which is a huge part of the book seems correct. However, when the author starts writing on his own, he makes plenty of errors. For example, he mentions the run for President in 1972 of Mondale and Ferraro -- that would be 1984. I finished this last night. I noticed an unusual number of errors like that throughout the book. The book mentions on one page that the problems of William Kennedy Smith were in Palm Springs, and then it correctly includes quotes mentioning Palm Beach instead on the next page. It's inexcusable for a guy writing a book to make errors that are so easily picked up by a math major like myself. The quotes are a good, concise summary of family history put together in an interesting way. I read the book all the way through, but I early on quit assuming that the author's own writing was fact. ![]() Ted Kennedy: The Dream That Never Died $26.00 I bought the wrong book I wanted True Compass I found out later but I'm glad I bought it I enjoyed it very much. I would recommed it to anyone who wants to learn more about the Kennedy family. |
