Before Sony had such a cd-rom based hit with the Playstation there was the 3do system. Many including myself at the time could not even afford the price of a used system much less a new one. When one finally got the chance to play this game it sucked out every waking moment thinking IF I could just get the the last +4 sword or bow. Many hours were lost but are fondly remembered. Your character is given the choice of male/female with name creation and a roll the dice to set character's attribute. The view was from first person dungeon crawler.Not much of a storie line just play untill your characters at a level 99 or all plus items found as the game will automatically at radom start your levels based on difficulty.

My nine year old son has been a slightly reluctant reader for several years. Although he has been reading at or slightly above grade level for the last year or so, he still holds in his head the idea that he does not love reading.

We received the box set of the first four of these "Wiglaf" novels, as we have dubbed them. My son and I read the first two together at bedtime each night and then took books three and four on vacation with us. Although he and I had been enjoying them each night - giggling at the silly characters (inept wizard, goofy athletics instructor) and enjoying the suspenseful (on a kid's level) plots, I realized what an impact these books had on his attitude towards reading when I "caught" him reading book three to himself on the ride home from vacation. He has since then been reading ahead on his own, unheard of in the past.

Right now we're finishing book six and starting on book seven very soon. We plan on obtaining every book in the series. We have thoroughly enjoyed the Dragon Slayer's Academy Books and we highly recommend them.

I don't usually give anything such a high rating, but DragonSlayer was the first adventure anime I saw that actually held my attention. The only thing that might bother people is one character calling men "pig" or "pervert" almost all through it. It hardly distracted from my enjoyment, as that's only this character's personality, there is also a scene of someone being impaled,an a few monsters being sliced up. In all, this movie is pretty safe, but I still wouldn't show it to young children. The music is pleasant, the humor will keep you smiling, and the adventure is enough to keep you involved. My only dissapoint was that the movie ends so suddenly, it leaves you wondering. It's also a little vague. I would reccomend this movie to anyone who enjoys humor and medievil type adventures. Oh yeah, did I mention there are two dragons, an evil king, and demons?
