 Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil Expansion Pack $19.99 Pretty good game. I could not finish the very last part without cheat sheet, even on very easy setting. Just got harder and harder throught the game.  Doom 3 $39.99 I've played and enjoyed the older versions of Doom on PCs. I was REALLY looking forward to this Apple version. What a disappointment! After loading and opening Doom on an IMac, Mac OS X (version 10.5.8) 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor w/4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, my screen went black and nothing I could do would cancel it. Short of unplugging the computer, I couldn't shut it off! An Apple rep got it running and after a few minutes of play at home, I realized there was no speech. Finally that was fixed and then, there was a download that was available and after the download I had no speech again. I deleted everything I could find on the computer that pertained to Doom and occasionally look at at the Doom box on my desk in regret. I won't go through the frustration again! Do I need to say I DO NOT recommend DOOM 3!!!  Doom $19.99 I can't say anything about DOOM that has already been said only complainant is due to the fact that it's on a console it had to cut out levels & parts of levels out. It's of course a FPS it basically made the 1st person shooters popular cause like every other game now is a d@* FPS. But in DOOM you have to solve puzzles find key cards it just wasn't about running & gunning. It's got a simple but effective story in space scientist are experimenting with portals the Demons from h** come through & all h** breaks loose. eventually the Demons come to Earth & you have to stop the invasion. I can't do the game justice but yes if you never have played DOOM it's a great game & you go to war with your 9MM shotgun double barrel shotgun rotary cannon rocket launcher plasma rifle & the Big F**ing Gun!  Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil $19.99 Any game that relies heavily on saving and replaying until you don't die in that last 10 seconds is weak, and needed more game play testing time. Doom 3 was fun, this follow up game is not worth your time, and should never have made it out the door. I'm annoyed I bought it used for $5.00, that's how bad it is. |
