![]() Charlie the Caterpillar $6.99 My kids are now too old for Charlie the Catepillar. But when they were between the ages of 4 and 6, it was an absolute favorite and I read it practically every night! I recently gave away a bunch of old children's books. I couldn't part with Charlie. This is the sign of a special book. I hung onto it, along with Goodnight, Moon, The Giving Tree and The Velveteen Rabbit. I don't know if it's in that category of a "classic." But it is definitely special. A fun book with great illustrations and a good lesson. My kids had it memorized. "Giddadda here!" ![]() Fun Kid Video Classroom Lesson One: Space and Sea $19.98 Here's a video for your kids which dares to be gentle, sweet, and educational. Fun graphics and animation, simple and pleasing design, and doesn't talk down to kids, or try to get them all hopped up by assaulting their senses. Looking forward to the next one in the series. ![]() The Godson $14.98 This is one of those films that lacks luster the first time you see it then weeks later you find yourself quoting it , then the next time you see it, you laugh at stuff you missed the firstime, then the next time you start saying the lines outloud and laughing guiltlessly, then you find yourself telling your friends how great it is and by that time it's too late! I think it's funny how half the people hate the film and the other half love it. It is a division like the republicans and the democrats but without the fuss. It is a silly comedy and it makes me laugh, and I think people that don't like it are either too stuck up or stupid. ![]() The End $14.98 And I don't watch many movies twice... I'm not a big BurtR fan, but I really enjoyed the premise. The opening scenes were really funny. All the way through the confession. After that it got a little dark and slow while Burt sets his affairs in order. (Though there are some funny elements in this part.) Fortunately, after he hits the mental ward he encounters DomD and the enjoyment resumes. A lot of great cameo's throughout. And the opening music is the the theme for my career... "It's another fine mess you've gotten into..." |
