BUT I THINK IT'S FAR BETTER THAN "KISSING TO BE CLEVER" AS AN INTIRE ALBUM. THE REISSUE IS THE
ONE TO GET. IT HAS FOUR EXTRA TRACKS THAT I HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE ON OTHER SEPARATE IMPORTS FROM THE PAST. PLEASE LISTEN TO "THE DREAM", AS IT'S AN INSIGHT ABOUT THE BAND DURING THIS ROCKY TIME IN THEIR LIVES. YET, MODEST OF WHAT WAS TO COME IN THE YEARS AHEAD. ALSO, "DON'T GO WALKING DOWN THE STREET", I THINK THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH TO BE ON THE "COLOUR BY NUMBERS" CD. ( IT HAS THE SOUND OF THAT ALBUM.) THE ALBUM HAS A KIND OF SHOW TUNE APPEAL ON MANY OF THE TRACKS. ALSO, THE LAST ALBUM, "FROM LUXURY TO HEARTACHE" IS ANOTHER FORGOTTEN MASTERPIECE. THAT ONE IS THE HARDEST TO FIND, EVEN HERE ON AMAZON, SO IF YOU SEE A COPY DON'T HESITATE TO GET IT. IT WILL NOT BE THERE LONG.

As strange as he may seem is as good as it gets. This guys voice is amazing, he hits all the notes to perfection. This collection is just enough, Few would want to sit through a 20 song Culture Club collection. Aretha Franklin, Karen Carpenter and Whitney move over, make room for Boy George on the all time best female singer list. Too bad his voice got ruined by drugs. This album is very good from first to last song and a great bargain for the price. Try not singing along when your stuck in traffic.

While Culture Club wrote some of the most memorable pop songs of the 80s, and that's saying a lot, it's sometimes easy to forget that they also crafted top notch soul music, and this record really proves it. Boy George has never sounded better than on the slower "Black Money" and "That's The Way", and the vocal interaction between Boy and Helen Terry create some real evocative soul moments. There are more than enough fantastic pop songs, but the great soul tracks prove this band put all they had into this record and besides "Time (Clock of the Heart)" this album has the best of Culture Club.
