Counting Crows
 Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings $13.98 It's a good LP with good songs, good music and pretty voice. I like it.  Across A Wire: Live In New York City $13.98 This is one of the best live albums I've ever purchased and I think every one who likes pop/rock like Counting Crows should get themselves a copy, because the band's perfomance is extraordinary good - both of the performances! It's a double live album which contains two live recordings from Vh1: Storytellers and a Mtv gig. The first is kind of an unplugged acoustic concert which is more quit and philosophic - also because of Adam's lyrical adds to the songs and the bands new interpretations of the songs. This is an individual decision if you like this or not, but I love it! The Mtv concert is more loud and the songs are more the ones you know from the albums, but still you feel the band's energy and you understand why they are such a popular live band. The album contain songs from the two first albums: August and Everything After and Recovering the Satellites. Overall it's a very good album, and I don't recognize any reason not to buy this if you like Counting Crows, because it shows some new sides of the band and if you don't like the band or have never heard of them before, then go buy it anyways because it's a musical experience under any circumstance. Nicolai ;D  This Desert Life $9.98 When I first bought this CD, I didn't like any of the songs except the first 2 and Colorblind, but now that I've listened to it for awhile, I find the only weak track on this album is Speedway. I especially like the St. Robinson song and All My Friends. I already had the Best Of album, so the couple of songs at the beginning of the album I already liked. It's a solid album, but most of these songs will never be on the radio. But they are very creative and are very nice to listen to. He is a great singer and lyricist and that makes it enjoyable to listen to. I find I like a lot of the Crows not so popular songs just as much as their big radio hits. Every one of their albums have many great songs and this one is no exception. It's not quite August and Everything After, but it is comparable to Recovering the Satellites in quality, although there are fewer songs. All My Friends has a great set of lyrics and it really spoke to me personally. Amy Hit the Atmosphere is a really mellow song, but also has a lot of passion. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the Crows. |
