But Connie Stevens wanted to do a Hank Williams album and not just do an echo of what had been done before. Her take on Williams is very pop and not much country and it's really a delightful, fresh album, beautifully sung and arranged. Stevens has achieved a remarkably long and successful career with a very little voice. The key is she is a very good singer technically and a very good interpreter of lyrics. She personally supervised every aspect of every album she made for the adult market past her teen queen stage, and that special viewpoint is very evident on this album.

I saw this movie as a young teenager with my girlfriends. Back then, our parents saw it first at the movies to ensure it was proper. The quality was excellent and I am pleased to have this in my movie library.

There is no booklet presenting connie stevens and her songs.

It would be very interesting for example to have all the years they release the songs.In that way you can follow the evolution of the artist along the years.
