A blue NP-NC10 and its running like a champ so far. Starts quickly, and with the 6 cell battery it runs for hourssss....at least 4.5 under full power. I got a pink one for my girlfriend also and she loves it. Really light, easy to move around with, and the screen isn't glossy which is a huge plus for me. Zero glare and relfection even outside. I love the blue color, definitely a guy's kind of comp, its a lil different from all these white and silver macs....and your regular black laptops. I got a retractable 5 button mouse, a samsung external optical drive (works great), a caselogic neoprene sleeve, and a swissgear synergy backpack to carry it all around school with my books. I do plan on getting one of those 9 cell battery packs which are supposed to give a solid 11 hrs of life. Who needs more than that?? This is my first review on amazon. I should mention that it was the reviews that helped me a lot so here's my contribution for a great little netbook. ![]() Compaq CQ2009F Desktop PC $356.00 Preforms great, quiet, takes up a small amount of space...such great quality at a cheap price. One of the best I have ever owned. ![]() How Computers Work (9th Edition) $34.99 --or atleast not for Kindle for PC... the pictures are impossibly small. They are literally impossible to read. In most books this might not be a problem. Here, however, there is valuable information in all the drawings. The easy to understand depictions of computer innnards is one of this book's strong suits. I work as a laptop (among other things) repariman in the Military and we use this book to learn the basic inner workings of computers and how what we learn in Basic Electronics applies to real world PC troubleshooting. I was excited to download this for my kinld for PC and refresh my memory as well as get the same explanations of newer technologies. The book itself is great for this purpose. It breaks everything down into "barney - style" simplicity. At the same time it is extrememly informative and interesting. Unfortunately, you will miss the best part of the book and lose some valuable information by using this on Kindle for PC. I don't know if you can zoom into pictures on the actual Kindles but i have a feeling the result will be even worse. Buy this book - but not the electronic version. |
