When I first saw this movie, I didn't know that it was supposed to be a silly comedy movie. I was blown away from the beginning. The movie starts out fresh, modern, stylish, and I truly loved the way our protagonist was portrayed as an open lesbian. The dinner scene at the beginning was perfect with Anna's family talking about Anna's failed relationship. I am so for this type of scene in a movie, this shows how Anna's family loves and supports who she is. The scene that blew me away was the night scene when Anna met Sadie. That scene is worth buying this movie. It had such a romantic feel to the scene. It was up there with the Angela/Brian street scene from My So-Called Life.

After the night scene is when the movie took a turn for the so-so. It's as if the movie was stopped half way through production and they got an entirely new director and crew. The movie became silly. I don't want to give up the plot or the ending but it ends silly. I was expecting a very romantic movie and I didn't get it. Instead I got a silly feminazi movie. Still, I love this movie but I have to give it 3 out of 5 stars. This could have been a truly romantic movie and it did start out that way. I wish it stayed like that throughout. I hope director Jamie Babbit makes a true modern & stylish lesbian romance movie soon. This was a good taste of it.

GBC represents the best Hip Hop has to offer. Apathy, RYU, and producer Scoop Deville create a consistent, bumpin' album that begs the question - What does the future hold for Get Busy Committee? Already, the three members have achieved much on their own, but listeners should expect great things from this rap super group. Deville's tracks are definitely throwback but without the pretentious attitude that many new "retro" tracks put forth. My personal highlights favorites Chillin' Out Maxin' which samples The Fresh Prince intro song; the title track, which is (as GBC explains) differently 'other' and Hurtin' Me So Much. Five star all around, GBC is for fans of any style or sound of Hip hop who are looking for something different that can be enjoyed crusin' in the car, chillin' with headphones, or out at the club.

Of the many Clique books by Lisi Harrison, The Pretty Committee Strikes Back was my favorite. This book was realistic fiction. I really liked the setting, Lake Placid. In this book the main characters, Massie, Claire, Alica, Dylan, and Kristen, went on OCD's first ever boy-girl field trip. While there Massie gets stuck in a web of lies and finds it hard to get out.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes books that are fun and suspenseful. This book is great...and I think everyone should read it! This book is really fun to read. If you're into the clique series this is a must-read. I rated this book a 5 because it was very descriptive and well written. I really loved how she described all the scenes so carefully and with such detail. I could visualize the story throughout the entire book!
