![]() Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition $39.99 First, to clear up any confusion, as another person said, this works on Vista too. Don't be tricked into buying the $50 standard version (The standard costs more than the game of the year. Doesn't make much sense but I'm not complaining. Pay less, get better. I like that thought.)Let's start the reivew. Single Player (Campaign): There were many things that truly drew me in in the single player, but I have to say the main thing was the graphics. They are spectacular. They can compete with Xbox 360 if you ask me. They are the best I've ever seen on the PC. Second was the story. The modern warfares are the only CoDs that have true stories. I'm certainly not going to give away any of the story, but the main idea is to kill 4 ultranationalists/terrorists that are in a picture the army has. Okay, I'll tell you one detail. The story greatly changes when you found out one of the men in the picture(Imran Zakheav) whom was thought to have been killed 15 years ago, is still alive. I won't tell you any more. Then there were the characters. They were very well developed. My favorite character was Gaz. Too bad he got his head blown off at the end. Multiplayer: Wow. I can't get into everything. There's just too much. The perks, customizable classes, weapon attachments, killstreak rewards, ranks, challenges, and difficuly are all perfect. The multiplayer in CoD 4 is better than Halo's. And I bet as you read that some of you may gasp that I would dare say such a thing. But it's true. Buy the game. ![]() Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year $49.99 Call of Duty Modern Warfare is undoubtedly one of the best first-person shooter games out for Xbox 360. For the single-player minded among us (such as myself), the campaign features a dynamic and unpredictable story arc that really feels as though it could be an excerpt from the life of a real SAS soldier or Marine. The weapons are very well modeled and very detailed and the gameplay is just as challenging as other games in the series, without being impossibly difficult. Multiplayer is also an interesting and fun experience and gives the game a great extension on an already great amount of replay value. This is definitely a great game to buy for anyone who owns an Xbox 360 (or other console) and is interested in first-person shooters. ![]() Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year $49.99 Very good game, engaging multipayer, in-depth campaign, many, many weapons. The best FPS at the time. If you like this game, definitely think about getting the sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. ![]() Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare $29.99 The DS verison of COD:MW is pretty good for a portable FPS but it just isn't as satisfying as the console versions. It controled OK but my hands get tired after a while. One control problem that plauged me was you are supposed to double tap the screen to look down the barrell of the gun or scope and I kept doing that on accident, meaning I kept zooming in and out while moving around. I also thought it took a lot of shots to take out an enemy. Graphics were OK for a DS but it doesn't look that great. |
