Falling
Falling

$24.98
Older women like me, pursued by acquisitive poor men, will really enjoy this film. First of all, it's sadly amusing to the inth degree. Here we have a sensitive, pretty but fading, highly intelligent, well educated and well read older woman who's lost two husbands and and is lonely. Along comes an attractive, viable man about her own age. Who wouldn't perk up for that? But what she gets is a whole lot more than she bargained for. You've got to see it.
Joseph Andrews
Joseph Andrews

$9.99
Unlike director Tony Richardson's previous Henry Fielding adaptation, "Tom Jones", "Joseph Andrews" is not a rousing success. It's bawdy but not particularly sexy. It's intricately plotted yet utterly predictable. It's populated with characters yet falls short in characterization. Why do I give it the pass? Despite it's flaws it gets an "A" in high-spiritness. The cast is appealing with veterans Peter Bull and Michael Hordern, up-and-comers Peter Firth and Natalie Ogle, and everything anchored by a terrific turn by Ann-Margret. Go in to this with less than heightened expectations and you will not be disappointed.
Killer Me
Killer Me

$19.95
Zach Hansen's KILLER ME is a chilling psychological study of two people building a very unusual relationship. Even when you think you see what's coming, this film keeps you off-balance and draws you in to the emotional turmoil of the two lead characters.

George Foster makes his character, Joseph, come alive in all his technicolor torment. Christina Kew gives a great performance as the strangely bold-yet-timid female lead (Anna) who sometimes seems almost to take her own breath away with her actions.

Watching the relationship evolve between these two is fascinating, and only becomes moreso as the story unfolds.

This film is not for everyone, but will appeal to a broad range of film fans, while refusing to neatly fit into any single category. There are things in this film that we never figure out or know for certain, but one thing that is certain is that Joseph is emotionally disturbed, and suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Anna is obviously not only attracted to but somehow drawn to Joseph.

This is one of those rare films that succeeds in leaving the viewer satisfied without answering all the questions and filling in the blanks.
