![]() Melodies and Memories $5.98 A good CD by an artist I wish I had heard in person. He has rhythm and tells stories of rodeo life in his songs. I've never gotten a "bad" CD, and each is different. He doesn't just take the same songs and sing them all over with a different jacket. ![]() American Cowboy $31.94 We hear a lot of complaining about the over-commercialization of Nashville these days, and how country has gotten too slick and so forth. I am not sure if I agree with the statement, overall, but it is always good to remember some of the really authentic music. Chris LeDoux is very much in that category. He was an actual, honest to goodness cowboy; he had a long and successful career as a rodeo star, so he was never making any of this stuff up. His music is very simple, very straightforward and often quite humerous. He loves rodeo. He loves America. He loves the West. He does not take himself very seriously. That is what he expresses in his music, and why it remains classic. This album is a very good sampling of his sound. ![]() Rodeo Songs "Old & New" $6.98 You just can't go wrong with this one. Nothing beats his earlier stuff and this is one of the best! ![]() The Capitol Collection (1990-2000) $46.98 I was disappointed in the fact that I already had 3 of the CD's. I feel it was unclear in the description what all the CD's were. I thought it would be a "collection" on 6 CD's, instead it was 6 separate CD's that had already been released. |
