![]() Charlie's Soap Laundry Liquid - 1 Gal Jug - (128 Loads) $23.45 I use this product and am very pleased for general laundry cleaning. IF you have stained items I suggest using Charlie's spray cleaner as a pretreatment which also works great. When you first use this product it suggests running a small load as this product will clean out old soap deposits and will appear very sudsy. I have a LG front loading machine and this did not occur. I think it was because I've only used Seventh Generation and ECO laundry detergents which both are also coconut oil based and low suds. There is no fragrance once you retrieve laundry from the washer. By this I also mean if a pet had an urinary accident this soap eliminates the odor, even potent cat urine! Besides cleaning well, another nice outcome is NO fabric softener or dryer sheets are needed. As a real test I line dried a couple of bath towels. Usually they dry stiff and rough as if starch had been applied. Surprisingly they were very soft just as they are from the dryer. The beauty of this is your towels will absorb and dry you faster since fabric softener and dryer sheets coat the towel making it less absorbent. I also ordered their laundry powder but have not tried it yet. This product is very cost-effective, safe for the environment, and made in the USA by a family owned business. What more could you ask? ![]() My Dead Body: A Novel $14.00 Bringing Charlie Huston's wonderful series of supernatural pulp to a conclusion with a rollicking finish, this book was a joy to read. Joe Pitt is a Vampyre (infected by the AIDS like Vyrus in the bathroom at the punk haven CBGB's) and after the events of the previous books he has been driven (literally) underground, living amongst the hobos and the castoffs in the New York City sewer system. Contacted by a former acquaintance to which Pitt feels a debt, he surfaces once again in order to find the man's missing daughter. Pregnant with a half-human, half-vampyre child, she is on the run as the various Vampyre factions slide toward total war, and wish to use her as a symbol of their struggle. If there is one thing the various factions of the Vampyre underground agree on, it is a dislike of Mr. Pitt. So with few allies and a lot of enemies, he sets off in search of the mother to be. It's a struggle every step of the way as Joe finds a brutal reception filled with monsters, torture and the enmity of past transgressions. Despite being brutally violent, the book maintains a sense of humor (albeit an appropriately pitch black one) and the cracking story builds to an unstoppable conclusion. If you've had you're fill of touchy-feely vampires by the likes of Stephenie Meyer and Charlaine Harris, give Joe Pitt a try. It's best to start at the beginning of the series, Already Dead, to get the complete Joe Pitt experience. He is one of the most interesting characters in genre fiction and he will be sorely missed. ![]() Charlie Blue By Revlon For Women. Eau De Toilette Spray 3.4 Ounces $25.00 I personally don't like this very much. I've been a Mugler Angel user for 6 yrs. But I got it to give it as a surprise gift to my mom that liked it many years ago. I have to admit, it brought up scent memory when I smelled it. I give it 3 stars because that's the rating for OK (middle range), I certainly didn't love it, but again it was not purchased for my own use. What I would like to say though is this: Be aware the blue box is not wrapped in plastic wrapper! Which being a gift, I would have liked it to be ( the cap was dented too). So I call Amazon, and get an RMA. The replacement comes without the wrapper too. I didn't return it however. The cap and the quantity of fluid inside seemed intact ( the first one had a dented cap and perfume seemed to be missing - it looked used all the way). The return service was fast (prepaid shipping label), and Amazon return personnel curtious, and helpful. Very happy with how the shipments were handled. ![]() I Absolutely Must Do Coloring Now or Painting or Drawing (Charlie and Lola) $3.99 I love this book. The illlustrations are so cute. I don't have my grandchild's opinion yet. But she does all kinds of arts and she should love it. |
